Rachel is revising and illustrating a novel experimenting with a musical substructure. The title of the novel, fugue, implies both the musical form and the dissociative state defined by the term, fugue. She is posting excerpts and chronicling her process of the revision here.
Her writing was published in Mothers’ Days, compiled by Lenka Clayton for Clayton’s Artist Residency in Motherhood (ARiM). Featured in Labor: Motherhood & Art, the inaugural exhibition of New Mexico State University’s Art Museum, Mothers’ Days collated accounts of an ordinary Monday by mother artists around the world.
For Technikart, Planet Magazine and Art Observed, Rachel wrote long-form articles on art, photography, film and architecture, conducting interviews with luminaries such as Errol Morris, Snarkitecture and Viviane Sassen.
